Nothing to promote understanding among nations like the international Festival at the college each November. Alumni Hall beams with color and festivity from the four corners of the world as students, and faculty, showcase the products and discuss the practices and perspectives from countries around the world. This year, Spain, Mexico, Chile, Vietnam and China, among others, had poster exhibits. Fourth semester Spanish students and their instructor Mayra Taylor showcased Ecuador displaying jewelry, baskets, textiles, an authentic carnival mask and posters from the country’s new marketing campaign “All you Need is Ecuador”.
Dozens of students walked the runway in a great fashion show from countries represented by students on campus. Hundreds of attendees enjoyed the talent show and were treated to international cuisine prepared by students to complement an exciting evening of music, sights and aromas from around the globe.
